The computer world has known and used IPV4 for decades. With more and more devices becoming a part of the IOT we have needed to find a way to increase the number of available IP addresses. The solution they came up with was IPV6, a new range of IP addresses that would effectively match and support the new growing need.
But what happened to IPV5?
They attempted to create a new protocol before IPV6 and they named it Internet Stream Protocol. Unfortunately they fell flat due to using the same 32-bit system.
We’re here today to make a working IPV5 Hard CIDR. Some strong and refreshing new Hard Cider ready to get you drunk enough to forget all about how big of a failure the last attempt at an IPV5 was.
